The statue is located approximately 60 kilometres northeast of Ulaanbaatar, an hour away. Location and daytrip to the Genghis Khan statue Inside the complex you can see a life-size replica of the whip, right next to a leather boot which funnily enough made it to the Guinness Book of Records as the world’s largest boot. The museum and a short video about the construction of the statue are included in the entrance fee of 7,000 Tugrik (€ 3.50).Īt the site of the statue, the whip of the warrior would have been found, which has determined its location. The silver statue is already impressive from the outside, but it is even more fun to go into the statue by elevator (and the last part with the stairs) and go up for a view from the horse’s head. On site you will also find statues of a whole team of warriors on horses, who helped Genghis Khan on his successful mission to unite the tribes of Mongolia and to establish the Mongol Empire, one of the largest empires in world history. The Mongolian warrior is sitting on his horse with a golden whip in hand. It is 40 meters high, silver and shines upon you: the famous Genghis Khan (also known as Genghis Khan or Chinggis Khan) statue northeast of Ulaanbaatar is a real eye-catcher in the wide landscape. ![]()
